How to Pull Telemetry Logs from Hand Controllers

WisprGroundControl has introduced saving telemetry logs or ‘tlogs’ to the hand controller. Here we will go over the process of retrieving these logs. These will be stored on the SD card by default if present.

This process will allow you access the controller like a portable storage device

Herelink:

Note: this will need to be done each time want to access the controller’s files via your PC- the setting does not persist after unplugging from the controller.

  • Connect the controller to your computer with a Micro-USB cable.

  • Swipe down from the top of your screen. Look for the gear icon in the upper right corner- tap and hold on it to open the settings menu.

  • Under your computer’s file explorer, you should see “Optimus” as an option now, next to your C: drive.

    • For SD Card users, navigate to “This PC\Optimus\SanDisk SD card\WisprGroundControl\Telemetry”.

    • For internal storage, go to “This PC\Optimus\Internal shared storage\WisprGroundControl\Telemetry”

  • Here, you will find the telemetry logs that have been stored on your drone since the feature became active. They can be copied to your desired storage destination.

Retrieving from SD Card

The simplest way to extract the controller logs is to use an SD card reader with your computer.

This can also be done via USB connection to the controller, with additional steps. See the expander above for that information.

  • Remove your SD card from the controller, insert it into your SD card reader, and insert the reader into your PC.

  • Open your file explorer, and click This PC.

  • You should see your SD card as a storage device on this screen. Double click to enter it.

  • Continue with double clicks and navigate to Android → Data → com.wisprgroundcontrol → files → WisprGroundControl → Telemetry.

  • Here you can see all of your log files, which you can freely copy or move to your desired Folder.

  • When finished, you’re free to unplug the controller.
