Updating Wispr Flight Firmware

1. Download the latest Wispr Ground Control from the Google Drive.

If you do not have access, request access. Please allow 24 hours for access to the drive to be granted. If you have not received a response within 24 hours, please contact customer support or raise an issue with our support desk.

2. Plug in a USB to USB Mini cord going from your computer/laptop (USB) to the back single port (USB Mini) on the top tier of the drone.

3. Once plugged into both, open mission planner. If you do not have mission planner, download the latest version from here : https://ardupilot.org/planner/docs/mission-planner-installation.html

Do not connect the drone to Mission Planner only open the program

Go to setup ->install firmware -> Load custom firmware.

4. The latest Wispr firmware will be included in the most current Wispr Ground Control zipoed folder. It will be saved as .apj file like in the example below. Click the “Load custom firmware” button and select the .apj file from your computer. Wispr FLight Firmware will begin loading. A green progress bar will fill the status bar. Once it finishes you have now uploaded the newest WISPR Flight Firmware onto your drone.

While uploading the custom firmware, you may get a pop-up saying “Please unplug the board, press OK, and then plug your connection back into the Mission Planner”. This is normal and nothing to be alarmed about. Just follow those directions. This will not hurt anything you are uploading. (See below picture for example)
