Quick Start Guide

Sony ILX-LR1 due to the lack of RTC which causes the camera to sometimes reset language, date, and time settings. For those that this happens to this is the fix to solve this issue.

The error has been corrected by installing WGC 1.7.2 or higher. With the ILX-LR1 payload selected, there will be an option on the same tab (PAYLOADS) where you can press “Reset Time/Time” followed by the focus button (infinity looking symbol at the bottom right corner when viewing the camera display). Another method to remove the error do can be achieved by the following:

• Download the MavCam App zip folder below and save it on your PC.

Installing MavCam on the Smart Controller

• Transfer the File: Copy the MavCam file onto a micro SD microSD card.

• Insert the microSD Card:

  • Locate the microSD card

  into smart controller

  on the controller.Once inserted, go into gallary inside of your applications and look for

  • Insert the microSD card securely into the slot. (Ensure It clicks into the slot)

• Access the File on the Smart Controller:

  • Press the nine-box icon (application access button) at the bottom right corner of the home screen.

  • Navigate to "Downloads" within the applications menu.

  • Locate and open the SD card file.

  Once in the SD card file and find the

• Install MavCam:

  • Find the MavCam .apk file

  . Click to install.

• The app will request permission to overlay on other applications, and you will need to enable the corresponding toggle to allow this functionality.

• MavCam is now installed and should now be present as an app in your applications on your controller.

• Open MavCam from your applications.

• You should now see the MavCam controls at the bottom of your screen.

• Slide with your finger

  • and tap on it to begin installation.

  • During installation, a permission request will appear for overlaying on other applications.

  • Enable the required toggle switch to grant this permission.

• Verify Installation:

  • Once installed, MavCam will appear in the applications list on the controller.

  • Soft press once to open and launch MavCam.

• Confirm Functionality:

  • The MavCam controls should now be displayed at the bottom of the screen as shown below.

• Swipe the camera/video icon to the right to navigate to bring the MavCam Configuration screen up. Check the box “Auto start MavCam” and then exit out by pressing the X in the top rightEnable the checkbox labeled "Auto Start MavCam", then exit the configuration screen by tapping the "X" in the upper-right corner.

• Open WISPR Ground Control (with your ILX-LR1 connected and to the drone booted).

• Power on the drone.

• Allow the parameters to fully download.

• Swipe the Cameracamera/Video video icons straigh up to show reveal the MavCam Controls panel.

• Press the "OK" button in located at the middle center of the four directional arrows . This will to display the camera’s settings.camera's icons and settings.

  • If the MavCam Camera settings are blocking your Icons, simply exit out using the X at the top and swipe the icons right again to bring up the Mavcam Configurtion panel and select the box “camera panel right” to move to the right side of the screen. Close out of that and swipe up again to open the MavCam Controls.

• Use the arrow keys to navigate to the briefcase icon

• Select 1. Area/Date.

• Press down once and select Area/Date/Time Setting.

• Select "Area Setting" and ensure it is on Chicago/MexicoCity

• Press down once more and select Daylight Savings. Turn this from Off to On by touching the circle beside ON.

• Go the region is set to your correct region.

• Select"Chicago/Mexico City” in the example.

• Press the down directiona arrow and select "Daylight Savings." Switch this setting from "Off" to "On" by selecting the circle next to "ON.”

• Navigate down once more using the arrows arrow keys and select "Date/Time. Navigate right and put in your " Use the right directional arrow to navigate to hours/minutes/seconds and use the up and down directional arrows to input the correct time.

• Once setcomplete, press the back arrow twice and go scroll down one option to "Reset/Save Settings. "

• Select "Save/Load Settings."

• Press Ok.

• Select "Save" and then choose "Save New."

• Your Settings settings are now successfully saved!

• If you would like to Uninstall MavCam once complete, navigate to your applications and long press on the MavCam application until a pop up (as seen below) is shown.

• Select Uninstall App. When prompted with the message, "Are you sure? MavCam will be uninstalled," press OK to confirm. MavCam will then be successfully removed from your controller.
